The Independent Production Fund’s (IPF’s) Indie Digi Producer Banff Fest Travel participants selected

The IPF is providing three Canadian web drama series producers/creators with complementary full registration and a travel grant of up to $1500 to attend the 2015 Banff World Media Festival, and receive mentorship while at the Festival.

The participants selected are:

Ethan Cole (Explaining Things to my Grandfather)
Julien Hurteau  (Agent Secret)
Elize Morgan (Pretty in Geek)

In addition, the IPF is providing three runners-up with complimentary accreditation to the Festival:

Barb Briggs (Hug-O-Gram)
Mackenzie Donaldson (Whatever, Linda)
Matt King (The Amazing Gayl Pile)

Eligible applicants had previous web drama series experience and a new digital drama project in development. English or French producer/creators of scripted digital short-form dramatic content, with specific goals to accomplish while attending Banff submitted applications which were reviewed by a selection committee.

The Independent Production Fund (IPF) has invested $ 7.4M in 71 web drama series in the past 5 years. www.wipwebseries.ca. Many of these projects have won international awards and made Canada a leader in original digital scripted content.
