René Guimond

René Guimond holds a Bachelor in Business Administration (1974) from Sherbrooke University and has based his professional career on his sense of entrepreneurship.

In October 2005, René Guimond was named President and CEO of Cogeco Radio-Télévision Inc. (CRTI) which includes the TQS television network, the Rythme FM radio network and radio station 933 in Québec. In 2008, he was named Vice-President New Media Development at Cogeco Cable. Since November 2010, René Guimond is the Vice-President, Public Affairs and Communications at Cogeco inc.


Earlier in 2005, he took charge of the Montréal 2005 World Aquatics Championships a few months from the opening of this international event. He relaunched TQS, the black sheep of television, managed BCP, one of the most important advertising agencies in Canada, and was the co-founder of Promo Marketing Canada, an agency that has become a leader in its field in the country. All of which vouch for his determination and ability to assume responsibilities requiring vision, strategy and top managerial and unifying skills.

He was also Vice President Marketing and Public Affairs for the Montreal Expos from 1981 to 1986.
