Sophie Couture

Sophie Couture has accumulated over 15 years of experience in the fields of management, communications, and digital technologies, primarily within the cultural and creative industries, with more than 10 years in managerial roles. Her career reflects a keen interest in digital culture in all its forms, as well as the associated experiences and thought processes.

Until recently, she held the position of Executive Director at Xn Québec, the Association of Digital Experience Producers. The association brings together over 185 member studios and is tasked with representing and promoting excellence in digital creativity in Quebec and internationally. Prior to this role, she served as the Associate Director, Digital at the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA), a museum and international research institution, and as the Director, Digital Content at PHI, a multidisciplinary cultural and artistic hub at the intersection of art, cinema, music, design, and technology.

From 2012 to 2020, she was actively involved with the Cercle des Dirigeants d’Entreprises Franco-Québécois (CDEFQ), an association that brings together executives from Quebec companies in France and executives from French companies operating in Quebec. She also serves on the boards of directors for the Independent Production Fund (FIP), a fund supporting the production of fiction web series for digital media and providing professional development and training services, as well as the Bureau Estrien de l’Audiovisuel et du Multimédia (BEAM), an organization promoting the emergence of impactful projects for the Estrie community and contributing to the region’s development by supporting, equipping, and promoting creative production.
