The Independent Production Fund (IPF) and the Canada Media Fund (CMF) have approved financing for 33 scripted short form series as part of the 2024 CMF-IPF Short Form Series Development Program. The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and the Independent Production Fund (IPF) today announced the renewal of the IPF-CMF Short Form Series Development Program (formerly known as the Development Packaging Program: Short Form Scripted Series). With a total budget of $900,000, the program encourages the creation of high-quality, original, Canadian scripted short-form series. The maximum funding available for each successful project is $30,000.

The IPF announces funding for nine scripted short form series.
The IPF Board of Directors has approved 2023 production financing for 9 scripted short form series. The Independent Production Fund has approved production financing in the amount of over $1.7M for the following 9 companies and television series (4 English language projects and 5 French language projects). Claire Dion is Resigning on July 1 to Undertake New Challenges

After 31 years as head of the Quebec Office of the Independent Production Fund, Claire Dion is resigning on July 1 to undertake new challenges.
